Robert Napier students celebrate Roald Dahl Day on Wednesday 13th September

Robert Napier celebrated the life and work of a great British author.

Students across all year groups celebrated Roald Dahl Day on Wednesday 13th September, taking part in a series of activities to honour the famous author.

Form groups took part in a Roald Dahl-themed quiz, which was won by Ms Holpin’s O04. Year 9 students had the opportunity to explore the psychology of Roald Dahl, while the canteen staff whipped up a fantastic selection of food, inspired by Dahl’s writing.

Year 7 students are also participating in a writing competition to create their own Roald Dahl style story. The winner of the competition will receive a copy of Dahl’s wickedly funny ‘The Witches’, £5 in book tokens to spend at the school’s upcoming book fair, and a chance to have their story published on the Robert Napier website.

After launching the competition, Mrs Brattle said: “It has been fantastic to see such enthusiasm across the school for Roald Dahl. I can’t wait to read the exciting entries in the story competition.”
