The Robert Napier School

A Common Visit to the Rare Breeds Farm

The Rarre Breeds Farm in Ashford opened it's doors once again for the visit of Robert Napier's visually impaired students and supporting staff. The multi-sensory adventure proved to be fun for students and animals alike.

Mrs Moretsele, Head of the VI Unit spoke warmly about the trip:

We saw birds of prey, lots of farm animals including cows with calves, sows with lots of piglets, goats and baby kids, donkeys, Shetland ponies, ducks and all sorts of chickens and some bunnies - large and small.

We had a fabulous day out and got to touch lots of animals, spent some time watching some smelly pigs and went into a butterfly house. We also had a trailer ride.
