The biggest court in the United Kingdom played host to students and staff from Robert Napier on Friday 30 September... though you will be glad to hear they were not on trial. Instead they were learning about life at the Supreme Court in Westminster, London.
On Thursday 29th September 2016, The Robert Napier School held its Awards Evening celebrating students who had excelled in the last academic year. At the same time, the refurbished hall was formally opened

The new uniform has finally arrived at The Robert Napier School and students simply look fantastic. The new uniform symbolises the ethos this year with a very different feel around the school. The Headteacher, Mr Minchin has been delighted with the great start from all students in relation to their behaviour, commitment to learning, respect for the environment and respect for each other.
Tickets have been going fast and the workshops look set to be full. Year 6 students will be able to enjoy the experience of five secondary school subjects including Design & Technology, Sport, Drama, Science and History. Click here for more information and instructions on how to book.
The School continued its improvement in GCSE with a 10% increase in how our students performed with the percentage of students achieving 5 A*-C including English and Maths rising to 36%. Overall 53% of students achieved C grades or above, an increase of 14% on last year. The school's provisional ‘Progress 8’ measure shows we have made significant progress from well below national average to above national average with our progress 8 score standing +0.13. The shift from last year's -0.36 score is a significant jump in progress.
On Tuesday 19th April, myself and twelve Year 9 students took a trip to the University of Kent in Canterbury to get an idea of University life, and investigate where mathematics can be used in the real world.
As a new teacher to The Robert Napier School, I was exceptionally impressed by the students I took on the trip and their enthusiasm towards the activities involved.

On Wednesday 4th May 2016, a small group of students set off very early to travel by minibus to Rockingham Speedway
On Thursday 25th February 2016, the school opened its doors to nearly 200 Year 8 students and their families, as they attended the Year 8 Options evening.
