The exciting last stage of our partnership with the Love Where You Live Project is on show this week. The Robert Napier School is proud to be listed in the 2025 Medway Arts Trail, where our year 8 photography project will be on show at The Oast in Rainham this Saturday 12th and next Saturday 19th July. The arts trail is an annual event showcasing the work of local artists. See poster for details. Our Maths students have hit some MASSIVE milestones completing SPARX Maths homework this year; we are very proud to say we have answered over ONE MILLION questions correctly, and completed over TEN THOUSAND hours of individual student learning. We have over 350 students who are in the running to be a SPARX Star Pupil for 2025 - great achievement everyone!

Year 8s had a fantastic opportunity yesterday to participate in The Bridge Challenge, an all-day STEM workshop that involved planning, team building and hands-on creating. The visiting team, which included The Rochester Bridge Trust and a STEM Engagement Specialist, delivered a fantastic interactive STEM Challenge to our students, encouraging them to be young engineers for the day competitively building a bridge that could hold as much weight as possible. The challenge also included marketing, finance, building a prototype, then producing a final model that would be tested. PLEASE NOTE: All parents have been sent an email through Arbor explaining our temporary Uniform Policy from Monday 7th July. Students have been exceptional in adhering to uniform expectations, and due to the consistently higher temperatures forecast for July we have relaxed our uniform expectations for the final weeks of term. For any students on school trips or external events, this also applies, unless notified. From Monday 7th July students may CHOOSE to wear their full TRNS PE kit instead of the standard school uniform (see link to the full policy below) until the end of term. PE KIT CHOICE: We encourage students to bring a TRNS PE hooded top for cooler days or air-conditioned rooms. Tight fitting/hot pants/Lycra shorts are NOT permitted Ankle or trainer socks with trainers ARE permitted. Trainers ARE permitted only when worn as part of the PE kit. If your child chooses to wear normal uniform, they must continue to wear school shoes with leather uppers. UNIFORM CHOICE: Blazers are NOT required Ties are NOT required Blazers or school jumpers are encouraged for cooler days or air-conditioned rooms. NO hoodies, coats or jackets. School shoes with leather uppers - no trainers with standard uniform. ALL STUDENTS should carry a bag, with water bottle and equipment for learning. We had a brilliant day meeting all our year 6 transition students ahead of their September start here at TRNS. Students from a number of local primary schools got a taster of secondary school, taking part in a drama workshop, a music lesson, creating fondant animals in DT - plus tug of war and a scavenger hunt! We hope you all enjoyed meeting your form tutors and future classmates!
