Our intrepid explorers have returned home safe and sound from this years Disney Land Paris trip. A huge well done to all of the students and massive thanks to the staff that gave up their time to plan and attend the trip itself.

For parents of children on the Disney trip: Travel conditions have been kind, meaning that currently the coaches are expected back slightly earlier, between 5 and 6 pm. Students have been advised to contact parents when the coaches are about 30 minutes away. Staff will obviously wait with any students whose parents are not able to make the earlier time.

John Downton Awards 2019: Winners Announced Focussing on mental health in teenagers and expression in portraits, on the 19th November 2019 Wiktoria Boryslawska won a prize for "Best Drawing" in the 11-16 category of The Downton Awards at Maidstone County Hall for a piece aptly named, "Ugh!". There were approximately 300 entries and the competition was split into older and younger participants. If this wasn't enough for the Art Department to be proud of, The Art Department also won a trophy for The Best School Overall. All finalists to the award will be exhibited at Maidstone County Hall, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm until the winners from the competition will be placed on exhibit at The Turner Contemporary in Margate. It is safe to say that the Art team are immensely excited about this opportunity, Wiktoria's success and are looking forward to many more entrants participating in the future; to this and other awards. Photographs were taken with counsellors who have long supported this award for Kent schools so look out for articles and press releases! Congratulations to Wiktoria and the Art Department- we couldn't be more proud!

Day 3 of the Disney trip and students completed their Design and Technology workshop where their task was to design a new rollercoaster for the park. Students also enjoyed the Christmas tree light switch on, as well as enjoying food in the rainforest cafe.

Day 2 of the Disneyland Paris trip and the students are continuing to enjoy the Disney magic! Yesterday saw our students seeking thrills in both parks, as well as a food technology seminar and then finishing with the Buffalo Bill's Wild West show.

30 of our Year 8 students have arrived safe and sound at Disney Land Paris ready for their Design and Technology themed trip! So far the group have ventured into the village to explore and get food in preparation for a busy day ahead tomorrow. We wish them a great time over the next few days!

Our intrepid explorers have returned home safe and sound from this years Disney Land Paris trip. A huge well done to all of the students and massive thanks to the staff that gave up their time to plan and attend the trip itself.

Day 3 of the Disney trip and students completed their Design and Technology workshop where their task was to design a new rollercoaster for the park. Students also enjoyed the Christmas tree light switch on, as well as enjoying food in the rainforest cafe.

Day 2 of the Disneyland Paris trip and the students are continuing to enjoy the Disney magic! Yesterday saw our students seeking thrills in both parks, as well as a food technology seminar and then finishing with the Buffalo Bill's Wild West show.
