Transition - welcoming Year 6 into Year 7 2020
We are very aware of how challenging the transition from primary to secondary can be, for parents as much as for students themselves. No doubt the interruptions to your child's education as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic will add to these challenges, as well as meaning that our usual programme of activities to help welcome our new starters and ease that transition won't be happening as normal.
This section of our website will be regularly updated with as much information as possible to try and support you and your child in this process.
Below is a Powerpoint which gives an overview of key information as part of the induction process:
Below is an interactive map of the school site, containing a virtual tour of different areas of the school, as well as video interviews with different departments, giving your child a chance to 'meet' (albeit virtually!) some of the staff who will be welcoming them into the Robert Napier community. Click on the various icons to start looking around and meeting some of the team!
Your child will be placed in one of four houses: Eagle, Kestrel, Harrier or Osprey. Beneath the map you will see an icon for each house which, if you click on each section, will introduce you to your House team, as well as some of the form tutors who will be taking care of you.
Please keep revisiting this page as it is updated, and follow our Facebook page where all news and developments will also be shared. At the bottom of the page you'll see a copy of the induction booklet which you will have already been provided with. Don't forget to read through and complete your sections before you come in September!
